"Emily, orphaned as a child, she was brought up in the household of her sister Sarah, whose husband, John Lane, was her guardian. She attended the Elizabeth Female Academy in Washington, Mississippi. At the school's thire commencement exercise on 21 August 1829, Emily F. Vick was one of the five honor graduates."

Emily and her first husband Malachi had at least 1 child with the surname of HAMER: 1.) Infant Son, born and died in 1842. Emily and her second husband, Hiram had at least 2 children with the surname of ANDERSON: 1.) Minnie E., born abt 1855 & died abt 1878, unmarried; & 2.) Willie Vick Anderson, born abt 1857 & died abt 1900, unmarried!"
