Flossie Yopp Thomas, 94, of Whiteville, passed away on Saturday, Novemb er 22, 2008.

Flossie was born in Sneads Ferry, NC on January 9, 1914 to Mack C. and Evelyn Everett Yopp. She was a farmer's wife, homemaker and member of Topsail Presbyterian Church. She was a resident of Hampstead, for most of her life, until moving to Whiteville to live with her son.

Flossie was preceded in death by her husband Neil Cecil Thomas. She is survived by a daughter, Janice Thomas of Hampstead; two sons, Cecil Thomas also of Hampstead and James Thomas and his wife Linda of Whiteville; twelve grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Cecil, James, Chris and Neil Thomas, Allen Ray Sanders and MacNeil Yopp. Honorary Pallbearers will be Chad Oates and Andrew Thomas.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Tuesday, November 25, 2008, at Topsail Presbyterian Church.

The family visitation will be from 7-9:00pm, on Monday, November 24, 200 8, at Andrews Mortuary Hampstead Chapel and at other times, the family will be at the home of Janice Thomas.
