Henry John Elder married Katherine Blanche Turley June 23, 1925 in Ft. Scott, Bourbon County, Kansas. They lived in Ft. Scott and Lamar, Missouri before moving to Carthage, Jasper County, Missouri in 1942. Henry worked as a warehouseman for Platt & Porter Grocery there.
