Mrs. Elinor Joy Pritt, 26, wife of James Pritt and a former resident of Chillicothe, died Friday afternoon (Dec. 26, 1958) at 1 o'clock at the McCune-Brooks hospital at Carthage, where she had been a patient only a few hours following a highway accident. The accident occurred at 10:10 o'clock Friday morning three miles south of Jasper when a car pulled out in front of the Pritt car.

Mr. Pritt and son are patients at the McCune-Brooks hospital.

Mr. and Mrs. Pritt and son had come from their home in Central Point, Ore., to Oklahoma City to spend Christmas with Mr. Pritt's parents and were en route back home when the accident occurred.

Mrs. Pritt, daughter of Forrest and Nina (Vinson) Simmons, was born Sept. 23, 1932, (s/b 1933) at Dawn. She moved with her parents to Chillicothe at the age of 6 and resided here 10 years. While here she attended the public schools. In 1942, she moved with her parents to Myrtle Creek, Ore. She was a graduate of the high school at Myrtle Creek. On Sept. 23, 1951, she was married to James Pritt at Myrtle Creek and moved to Central Point for a residence. She was a member of the Christian church.

Besides her husband and a 5 year old son, James, she leaves her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Simmons of Myrtle Creek; four brothers,(s/b three brothers?), Tom Simmons, Chillicothe; Junior Simmons, Klamath Falls, Ore., and Jim Simmons, Central Point, Ore.; five sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Dudley, Roseburg, Ore.; Mrs. Jack Gray, Myrtle Creek; Mrs. Louann Sudolski, Central Point, and Misses Sue and Ronda Simmons of Central Point. .

The body was returned to the Norman Funeral Home where arrangement are incomplete.
