Gladys Lucille Burr, 79, of Edmore and formerly of Mt. Pleasant, died Thursday, Nov. 28, 1991, near Edmore.
Services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday at Helms Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasants with the Rev. Ronald Thompson of the First United Methodist Church in Mt. Pleasant officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant.
Mrs. Burr was born July 22, 1912, in Isabella County, to Harvey and Edith Elsia (McClain) Bushong. She married Icon Bus: Oct, 21, 1921. He preceded her in death in November 1967.
Mrs. Burr was a homemaker. She was an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Stanton and the senior citizen center in Edmore. She enjoyed playing bingo and making crafts.
Mrs. Burr is survived by her four children, Leon Jr. and his wife Irene of Shepherd, Erma and her husband Clifford Mogg of Mt. Pleasant, Kenneth and his wife Connie of Mt. Pleasant, and Charles Burr Sr. of Edmore; 19 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; three brothers and their wives, Elmer and Denise Bushong of Mt. Pleasant, Burton and Gladys Bushong of Mt. Pleasant and Earl and Gloria Bushong of Ispheming: a sister and her husband, Edith and Otis McPhail of Mt. Pleasant, and several nieces and nephews.
She also was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Marcella in 1944, a brother, Lloyd, and two sisters, Marie Burr and Marvel Searight.
