Mrs. Ada Alberta "Bertie" Golden, 86, York Springs, died at the Michael Manor Home, Gettysburg, Saturday morning
at 9:25. A native of Huntington Twp., she was the wife of Orpheus M. Golden, and was a daughter of the late John William and Frances Charlotte (Ross) Slaybaugh. She was a member of the Upper Bermudian Lutheran Church and formerly was a member of the Ladies Aid Society of the church. She attended the church for many years. She and her husband celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary last Thursday at Michael Manor. They had resided in Huntington Twp. but moved to Mt. Holly Springs 36 years ago, then returned to York Springs this year. Surviving are her husband; a son Ralph L. Golden, York Springs; a daughter, Mrs. Vesta G. Smith, also of York Springs; a brother, Charles R. Slaybaugh, York R. D. 5, and a sister, Mrs. Annie Delp, York Springs R. 2; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 10:30 o'clock from the Pittenturf Funeral Home, York Springs, with her pastor, Rev. Gus Fridenvalds, and Rev. Carl Warrick, pastor at Evangelical Lutheran Church, Mt. Holy Springs. Interment will be in Upper Bermudian Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home in York Springs this evening from 7 to 9.
