Frederick H. 'Fred' Heybrock, 85

Frederick H. Heybrock was born March 25, 1927, to Gustav and Wilhelmina (Schelp) Heybrock at Arlington.

He grew up and lived in the Arlington area his whole life and farmed and raised cattle and pigs.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from February 9, 1951, to February 9, 1953.

On June 1, 1952, he married Phyllis Giesselman at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Arlington.

Sadly, Mrs. Heybrock died March 5, 1989.

He was then married to Mardell (Jessen) Synovec on September 8, 1990, at Fremont.

He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Arlington and the Lutheran Laymen's League. He served in many different offices at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. He was a member of the American Legion Post 71 at Arlington.

Frederick H. "Fred" Heybrock, 85, of Arlington,Nebraska died Friday, November 30, 2012, at Nye Legacy Health and Rehab Center in Fremont, Nebraska.

Services will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, December 4, 2012, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church at Arlington. Visitation will be Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Reckmeyer Moser Funeral Home in Arlington with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the church. Interment will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery at Arlington. Military honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post 71 and VFW Post 8332 of Arlington.

Left to honor his memory are his wife, Mardell; daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Thomas Morris of Lenexa, Kan.; sons and daughters-in-law, Paul and Ilana Heybrock of Norfolk, and Hal and Brenda Heybrock of Arlington; stepsons, Terry and wife Michele Synovec of Fremont and Todd Synovec and friend Brandi Simpson of Fremont; eight grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and five great- grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Phyllis; and two half-brothers, Edgar and Wilbur Grefe.

Memorials may be directed to St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Arlington.
