Ruth Woods, 82, Ozark, died Sunday morning, Oct. 21, 1990, in Springfield Community Hospital, following a two-month illness. Born April 1, 1908, in Nance, Mo., she was the daughter of William and Mary Taylor. She lived in this area throughout her life and married Oscar Woods Dec. 28, 1925. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ozark. Survivors include two sons, Bill Woods, and his wife, Virginia, Ozark, and Taylor Woods, and his wife, Joy, Cabot, Ark.; a daughter, Bessie Tennis, and her husband, Gene, Sparta; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her husband, Oscar, in 1978; a daughter, Mary Ball, in 1980; and 12 brothers and sisters. Services were Wednesday at 1 p.m. in Adams Funeral Home with David Howard and the Rev. Troy Rhoden officiating. Burial was in Ozark Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of' Ozark Building Fund.
