She was there devoted to God in the holy baptism and after getting religious classes confirmed. In the year 1900 she stepped into the holy marriage with Michael Sommerfeld. This marriage was blessed with six children, of whom three died in early childhood. In 1904 she came with her husband and her children to America, and the family settled her home near Fredonia, North Dakota. In 1908 her husband was snatched away from her through death. A year later she married again, and that with Johann Bich, with whom she lived in happy marriage, until also he was snatched away from her through death in 1944. From that time she lived in the home of her daughter, Ms. Mathilde Bich. She several times told the wish to only be ill for three days, and this wish was fulfilled. On 13 Oct she had a heart attack and on 16 Oct at 10 pm she was allowed to go home. She died at the age of 74 years, 4 months and 19 days. Mourning her death are seven children, three of them of the first marriage, Edward Sommerfeld, Tacoma, Washington, Mrs. Adolf Schneider and Johann Sommerfeld, Missoula, Montana, of the second marriage Mrs. Ida Beckel and Mrs. Maria Rigel, Kellog, Idaho, Mrs. Konrad Schwab and Ms. Mathilda Bich, Missoula, Montana, two stepsons, Tobias and Michael Bich, Missoula, Montana, three stepdaughters, Mrs. Juliana Gehring and Mrs. Sophia Morle, Bismarck, North Dakota, Eva Bich in California, 31 grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Heinrich Blum, Yakima, Washington and Mrs. Mathilde Bader, Missoula, Montana, five brothers, Christian Ulrich in Germany, Friedrich Ulrich in Missoula, Montana, Reinhold and Gottfried Ulrich in Lodi, California, and Martin Ulrich in Richardton, North Dakota. Her last statement was the hymn: „Fort, fort, mein Herz zum Himmel, fort fort, der Heimat zu!“ May God give all a happy reunion in the Light. Because the German congregation in Missoula doesn’t have a pastor, the celebration of life was led by the pastor of the English congregation. As text served Psalm 23
