Harold Daniel Henson, 77 of Fort Smith died Saturday, July 16, 2011, at Fianna Hills Nursing Home in Fort Smith.

He was an employee of Oklahoma Smith Furniture Company where he worked as a Finishing Room Superintendent, a member of the Community Freewill Baptist Church in Pocola, OK, and an Army Veteran of the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by his father, Theron Henson; mother, Annie Henson and one brother, Tremon Henson all of Winslow.

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM on Monday, July 18, 2011 in Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren, Arkansas, with Military Honors. Rev. Fred Warner will be officiating the service.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Anna Sue Henson of Fort Smith; three daughters, Laura Nichols of Van Buren, Annette Peerson of Greenwood and Susan St. Amant of Fort Smith; eight brothers & sisters, Herman Henson of Winfrey Valley, Ervin and Farrel Henson both of Winslow, Rema Perkins, Virgie White both of Fayetteville, Opal Hobbs of Shawnee, OK, Collene Fritchey of Liberty, MO, and Retha Jones of Cedarville; eight grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

Pallbearers will be Don Krietemeyer, Jacob Peerson, Steve Nichols, Jim Bob Peerson, Larry Jones and Ken St. Amant.
