GRAY: Katherine Davis Williams, 83, died Thursday, July 14, 2011.

Mrs. Williams, daughter of the late William H. Davis and Sarah Cheek Davis, was born in De Soto, Georgia, and had lived in Gray for most of her life. Her last employment was as a dietitian at Lynn Haven Nursing Home in Gray. She was a charter member of Ash Street Baptist Church in Forest Park and was a faithful member of Elam Baptist Church since 1970. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-two years, James Archie Williams, Sr. and son, James Archie Williams, Jr.; and by siblings: Nellene Ethridge, William Cheek Davis, Elizabeth Pollitzer, Margaret Repzynski, Vevasue "VC" Davis, Jimmie Lou Davis and Dexter "Bud" Davis.

Mrs. Williams is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ken and Derlene Williams of San Antonio, Texas; daughter-in-law, Nela Williams of Zagreb, Croatia; brother and sister-in-law, Tommy and Shelby Davis of Gray; sister-in-law, Elaine Davis; her grandchildren: Tanja Jovanovic, Kresimir Williams, Ian Williams, Sarah Tegen, Mark Daily and Kelli Stone; ten great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
