The death of David Derflinger occurred at the family residence in South Oelwein Friday at 9:25 p.m. after a serious illness of less than twenty-four hours from paralysis. The last services will occur from the Christian church Monday at 1:30 p.m. Rev. C. L. McKim officiating.
David Derflinger was born in Ohio* sixty-two years ago and came west when a young man and has been a resident of Oelwein for about thirty years. He was well known in this city. He leaves a wife and two sons, Thomas and Ray to mourn his loss.
