Lewis Elmer Bowman, 52, of Boonsboro, Rt. 2, husband of Mrs. Jane Miller Bowman, died at Washington County Hospital on Wednesday morning. Born at Mt. Lena, he was a son of Charles H. and Elsie M. Glenn Bowman and a member of Beaver Creek Christian Church. He had been employed at Lewis Brothers Contractors of Smithsburg. Besides his wife, he is survived by brothers, Ira G. and Charles J. Bowman, both of Mt. Lena.
Services will be held from Bast Funeral Home In Boonsboro on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. The Rev. William E. Roberts will officiate; burial in Beaver Creek Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 7 to 9. The family requests the omission of flowers and memorial donations may he made to Beaver Creek Christian Church Building Fund or the American Cnncer Society.
