CUMBERLAND,MARYLAND -- Evelyn Dawn Combs, 86, of Cumberland, passed away Thursday, July 14, 2011, at her home.
Born April 19, 1925, in Connellsville, Pa., Mrs. Combs was the daughter of the late Clyde E. Stahlman and Violet L. (Howard) Stahlman. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Addison Gillmore Combs, Sept. 14, 1999; and two sons, Michael D. Combs and Stephen A. Combs.
A homemaker, Evelyn was an avid bingo player and enjoyed traveling to various yard sales.
She is survived by her sons, Gregory D. Combs and his wife, Ann and Douglas B. Combs and his wife, Beverly, all of Cumberland; her sisters, Martha Stahlman, Kennels Mill, Pa. and Betty Bennett and her husband, Larry, Corriganville; and a special sister-in-law, June Houseworth, Cumberland.
Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, (www.AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com) on Sunday, July 17, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday, July 18, 2011 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Wayne Turner officiating.
Interment will be in the Maryland State Veterans' Cemetery at Rocky Gap.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy DeVore, Bobby Adams, Les Kennell, Roger Kennell, Steven Nicely, and Ricky Bennett.
