Husband of Eleanor Jane Lane Fuller and father of George Thomas, Robert William, Marian Davison, Eleanor Mary, Alfred Charles, Frances Ruth, & Bess Fairfax. His mother was Sarah Brumpton who worked in the house where she met George Davison, the son in the house. They had George together, but were not married. Story goes that George Davison was sent away to Canada but have never found anything to substantiate this. Sarah eventually married a Mr. Fuller and they had a number of children. George Davison Fuller used the name Fuller, but I don't know that there was a legal adoption. G.D. Fuller named one daughter Marian Davison Fuller (my great aunt) and she was instrumental in raising my mother Betty June Carrel Fuller who was the daughter of Eleanor Mary, another daughter of George D.Fuller. Eleanor M. died within a month of Betty's birth and Betty was adopted by George D. and wife Eleanor Jane. When Eleanor Jane died about 8 yrs. later Marian D. took over the raising of Betty. My mom, Betty, and I lived with Aunt Marian from the beginning of WWII to 1950 or 51. She was like a grandma to me. When my dad, Kenneth Lee Hill, came back from war we continued to live together till my parents built a house in Palatine, Illinois. We would visit Grandpa Fuller in Beloit, WI every so often. The Roman safety pin was in my Aunt Marian's posession when I was a little girl, later went to my mom (Betty) and on her death, I inherited it. Great Grandpa Fuller found it in England when he worked in the chalk pits. Many Roman artifacts were found that way he told me.
