Dorthy Valerie 'Dot' Nix Burnett, 91, of Paris, died Sunday, July 18, 2004, in Paris Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 21, in Gene Roden's Sons Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Russell Kersey officiating.

Interment will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Hugo, OK, under the direction of Gene Roden's Sons.

The family will receive friends from 7-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

She was born Dorthy Valerie Nix on June 6, 1913, the daughter of Farris B. Nix and Cora Williams.

She was a homemaker and a member of Ramseur Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, James Burnett of Paris; brother, Harvey Nix of Texarkana; nephews, Dan Nix of Waynesboro, VA, Larry Nix of Texarkana, Billy Nix of Baton Rouge, LA, Mitch Martin of Germany and Mark Sowders of Houston; nieces, Mary Delle Smocarz of Texarkana, Martha Long of Baton Rouge, LA, Susan Boyd of Casper, WY, Dottie Sue Scott of Oklahoma City, OK, Melody Brown of Eaton, CO, and Mary Jane Bugerbaugh of Pennsylvania.

Dorthy Valerie 'Dot' Nix Burnett, 91, of Paris, died Sunday, July 18, 2004, in Paris Regional Medical Center.
