Mrs. Thelma E. Abee , 98, residing at the Fountainview Place Nursing Home, Mishawaka, Ind., formerly of U.S. 31 South, South Bend, Ind., passed away at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 15, in the nursing home where she had resided for many years.

Mrs. Abee was a loving wife, mother and homemaker to her family. Born on Sept. 10, 1900, in North Dakota, she had resided in the Michiana community since 1921, coming from North Dakota.

In 1921, in North Dakota, as Thelma Park, she married Clarence Abee , who passed away on Jan. 15, 1983.

Mrs. Abee is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Wallace W. and Juanita Abee of South Bend; two grandchildren, Jerry Abee of Orlando, Fla., and Sherry Weisser of Milford, Ind.; and by four great-granddaughters, Jennifer, Melissa, Staci and Sara.

Private family services will be at 1 p.m. today in the Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend. Pastor Dan Crosley of the Harris Prairie Church of Christ, Granger, Ind., will officiate. Burial will be in Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend. There will be no visitation.
