She worked in pharmaceutical production for the Wyeth Pharmaceutical Division of American Home Products Co.
She was a 1993 graduate of South Kingstown High School and a 1998 graduate of the University of Rhode Island, with a bachelor's degree in marine biology.
She had also been a laboratory worker for the Narragansett Bay campus of the University of Rhode Island. She was formerly a waitress at the Coast Guard Restaurant. She enjoyed gardening.
Besides her parents, she leaves a sister, Amy S. Aukerman of Germantown, Md.; paternal grandparents, Robert C. and Louise R. Aukerman of South Kingstown. She was granddaughter of the late W. Andrew Johnson and the late Roberta Tourgee Johnson.
A funeral service was held Friday in the Peace Dale Congregational Church, 261 Columbia St., South Kingstown.
