Viola M. Clapp, 81 formally of Middletown, died on June 29, 2004. She was the widow of Harry E. Fadely, whose family were Henry County pioneers, settling there in 1837.
She lived in Middletown from 1936 until 1998. She was born on November 14, 1922 in Henry County, the daughter of Henly Fugate Clapp and Bertha Paquette Clapp.
In her paternal line, Mrs. Fadely was descended from Thomas Clapp, of County Dorset, England, who arrived in Scituate in the Massachusetts Bay colony in 1633.
On her maternal side, she was descended from Pierre Paquette of Montreal, Canada.
She was a charter member and past membership secretary of the Middletown-Fall Creek Township Historical Society and past president of of the Middletown chapter of Sigma Beta sorority. She was a fifty year member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Mrs. Fadely was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Zionsville and was formally a longtime member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Anderson.

Clapp (Carol) of Anderson, several nieces and nephews.
