Dorothy Lauermann, 82

St. Cloud

December 18, 1928-July 13, 2011

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00AM Monday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Dorothy Lauermann who passed away peacefully with her family at her bedside on Wednesday at St. Benedict's Center in St. Cloud. The Rev. Tom Knoblach will officiate and burial will be in North Star Cemetery in St. Cloud. Friends may call from 4-8PM Sunday at the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in St. Cloud and 1 hour prior to services Monday at the church in St. Cloud. St. Anthony Parish prayers will be at 5PM, followed by VFW Post # 428 Lady's Auxiliary at 5:30PM and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie # 622 at 6PM all Sunday at the funeral home in St. Cloud.

Dorothy was born in St. Cloud to the late John & Dorothea (Herseim) Athen. She graduated from Tech High School in 1946 and St. Cloud Business College with a degree in business. She married Roger Lauermann in 1952 and they later divorced. She was a licensed real estate agent since 1968. She worked for Cy Kuefler Realty and Coldwell Bankers Herges Realty. She was a past President of the St. Cloud Board of Realtors, past President of the MN Association of Realtors, member of the nominating committee for the State Association. She served on several committees for the St. Cloud Board of Realtors. She volunteered for the St. Benedict Senior Community October Fest for 10 years. She also served as a tutor for the St. Cloud Adult Literacy Program. She retired as a realtor in 2006. Survivors include her sons, Gary (Carol) of Clearwater; Alan (Celine) of Holmen, WI; Mark of St. Cloud; grandchildren, Kristen (Arnie) Schmit, of St. Cloud, Jason (Robyn) Lauermann of Clearwater, John Lauermann of Worchester, MA, Mary and Helen Lauermann both of Holmen, WI, great grandchildren, Jessica & Jordan Schmit, Jacob & Kaitlyn Lauermann. She was preceded in death by her brother, Vern Athen, infant twin sister, Bertha, ex-husband, Roger, granddaughter, Kelly Jean Lauermann, and great grandson Eli Matthew Lauermann.
