Cyril Anthony Casmero served with the Army Engineers in Japan. He is the son of Antone P. and Mary V. (Madruga) Casemero of rural Hanford. His wife, Dorothy Casmero, resided in Hanford, as did his two children, Barbara and Norman. Before joining the service, Casmero was employed in Hanford. He enlisted in the Army on February 20, 1945.
Three of his brothers also served in World War II, Richard, Joseph and Russell. Richard was killed while serving with the Navy in the Southwest Pacific sea fighting.
Cyril was married to Dorothy A. Bristol, the daughter of Frank and Alvena C. Stoner. They had two children, Barbara Lee b. 11-3-1936, and Norman Anthony b. 12-2-1938.
Cyril married Eleanor Genevieve (Wells) Williams 11-4-1978 in Reno, Nevada.
