Funeral services for William Rubin who died at the Columbus hospital Tuesday morning after a 12-day siege with spotted fever were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Congressional church at Columbus, the Rev W. C. Lasater officiating and interment was in the cemetery there. The pallbearers were Emmet Patten, Walter Hoffman, Elbert Phipps, William Brown, Frank Patterson and Lewis Littlepage, all former neighbors. His mother and a sister of Dexter, Minn., were present for the funeral. The many beautiful floral offerings and the long cortege of friends that followed him to his final resting place bespoke of the high esteem in which he was held.
