The Bulloch County native was retired from Certain-Teed Products Inc. He was a member of Savannah Primitive Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son, Cecil Williams of Savannah; a daughter, Mrs. Laliah Mathis of Savannah; four brothers, Floyd, Malphus, Leymon and Leron Grooms, all of Stilson; a sister, Mrs. Ella Connor of Statesboro; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m Wednesday at Lanes Primitive Baptist Church near Stilson, with burial in the church cemetery.
