While visiting the Maeser cemetery, I ran into an older gentleman who was the grounds keeper. We got talking about cemeteries and I told him that I love to explore them. He told me that I needed to go visit the Rock Point Cemetery also in Maeser. He said that there was a grave that I needed to see. I wish I could remeber everything he said...something to the effect of an old Fremont Indian woman being discovered in an excavation. Someone felt sorry for her so they thought they would give her a proper burial. They named her "Elizabeth" last name of "Fremont" from wence the Indian tribe she came from.
