MRS. GOODWIN DIES IN GENEVA
Mrs. Cecil Goodwin, age sixty-one, wife of Ezra Goodwin, died suddenly Wednesday at 9:45 p.m. at her home in Geneva. Although she had been in failing health, her death, caused by a heart ailment, was unexpected.
Mrs. Goodwin was born on May 14, 1881 in Noble township, the daughter of Amos and Catherine (Weidner) Mount. She had lived her entire life in Noble township and was a member of the Bethel Church.
On August 12, 1900 she was married to Mr. Goodwin, who survives with five children. They are Mrs. Pauline Gregory of Geneva, Mrs. Kathryn Buxton of Waldron, Mrs. Gertrude McKee of St. Paul, Mrs. Viola Hopkins of Auburn, and Lonnie Goodwin of Acton. One daughter died in infancy. Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. Flo Bailey of Hancock county; the step father, Lon Dodds of Noble township; five grandchildren; and two nieces.
Funeral services will be held at the Geneva Methodist Church Saturday at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. John Shirley officiating. Burial will be in the Van Pelt cemetery in charge of Charles M. Ewing.
