Leah Marie Welch Morby, 89, died Friday, June 2, 1995, in Ogden.

She was born September 12, 1905, in Ogden, Utah, to Samuel J. and Jannie Grose Welch. On July 18, 1927, she married Ward Morby in Brigham City. He died July 20, 1975.

She graduated from Smithsonian Business College and owned and operated Ward's Service Station and Trailer Park with her husband. She was one of the founders of the Coalville Victory Club and was a member of North Summit Senior Citizens, DUP, and Eastern Star.

Surviving are two daughters and two sons, Marilyn and Chuck Kendrick, Fair Oaks, Calif.; Beverly and Joe Dalton, Ogden; Ward Dean and Wilma Morby, Salt Lake City; Robert and Maria Morby, Blue Springs, Mo.; 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert A. Welch, Midvale. Utah.

She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 7, 1995, at 2 p.m. in the Coalville Stake Chapel in Coalville. Friends may call at the Walker Mortuary in Coalville Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Interment, Coalville Cemetery.
