Joseph X. Clouser, 80, of Route 1, Darlington, died at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday in Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon. He had been in failing health for some time. Born March 22, 1908 in Montgomery County, he was a lifelong resident of the county and a 1923 graduate of Darlington High School, he farmed in Montgomery County many years. He married Hazel Ralls in Crawfordsville Jan. 5, 1953. She survives.

Mr. Clouser was a member of Farm Bureau in Boone, Montgomery and Clinton counties; and Fanners Union; and was a former member of the Moose Lodge. Surviving with his wife are two children, JoAdele Clouser and Martin Edwin Clouser, both of Darlington; and a sister, Louise Endres of Lebanon.
