Erma, of Dewitt, beloved mother of Robert L. Anstey and Robin K. Gauthier, and grandmother of John R. (Amy) Purkis died Tuesday. She was born to Milton Orval and Gertrude (Robinson) Andrews.

She married Robert L. Anstey (Sr.) on October 4, 1941, and resided with him and her children in Nebraska, Maryland, Virginia, Japan and Massachusetts. She lived in Natick, Massachusetts, for 54 years, where she belonged to St. Linus Parish.

She was an elementary school teacher in Nebraska, Maryland, and Massachusetts. With her husband Bob, she traveled extensively and visited all seven continents.

She is predeceased by her husband Robert, her son Marc Brian, her parents, and her brother Charles.

She is survived by her sisters, Dorothy (George, dec.) Wright and Darlene (Bill) Morton, brother Eugene (Helen) Andrews, her sister in law, Jean (Paul, dec.) Anstey and many nieces and nephews.

There was a scripture-rosary service on Thursday July 14, at Palmer Bush and Jensen Family Funeral Homes, Lansing Chapel. Mass of the Christian burial was on Friday July 15 at St. Therese Catholic Church, Lansing with Rev Fr Gerald Ploof as celebrant.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the St. Therese music ministry.
