Jimmy Leon Maxwell graduated from Arkansas Tech Univ. in 1971 and began his teaching career in the North Little Rock School System. He taught for over 30 years. His career started in Popular Street Middle School and continued at Boone Park Elem. He received a Master in Library Science from Univrsity of Arkansas. He was a member of Park Hill Baptist Church.
Survived by wife Sherry Bledsoe Maxwell, son, Jimmy Leon Maxwell II of No. Little Rock, daughter Kimberly Dawn Maxwell-Moore and husband Steve, Jeff Ballard and wife Dana, Angie Koke and husband Jeff and one brother Johnny Maxwell of Ozone, AR.
