News-Sentinel, The (Fort Wayne, IN) - Tuesday, March 13, 2001 Deceased Name: Evelyn J. Rich Berne - 1925-2001 Evelyn J. Rich, 76, of Berne, a member of First Missionary Church, died Sunday, March 11, 2001, at home. The Adams County native was retired from CTS Corp. in quality control, was secretary of the credit union and a volunteer at Swiss Heritage Society. Surviving are daughters Diane Hutchins of Carthage, Mo., Tanya Schulte of Robertsville, Mo., and Cynthia Pyle of Berne; a son, Barry of Atlanta; her stepmother, Rachel Graber of Berne; a sister, Eileen Sprunger of Tulsa, Okla.; a brother, Don Graber of Geneva; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer A., and a sister. Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Missionary Church, Berne, with calling one hour before services. Calling is also from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home, Berne. Burial will be at Mazelin Cemetery, Berne. Memorials are to Word of Life Ministries for Pastor James Lefever or College & Career Fellowship.
