Alvin Glen Snarr, 92, passed away on July 10, 2011 at his home.

He was born August 25, 1918 in Murray, Utah to Daniel H. and Lula Huish Snarr. Married Donna Jeanne Smith (deceased) on June 14, 1946 in the Salt Lake Temple. Married Wyoma Faucett Robison on March 1, 2003.

After graduating from BYU, he was employed as Circulation Manager for the LDS Church Magazines and also taught Seminary.

As an active member of the LDS Church, he served in many callings, including YM General Board, Bishop, 1st Counselor in the Stake Presidency, and Stake Patriarch. Served three LDS missions, and served as a sealer in the Jordan River Temple.

Survived by wife Wyoma, his eight children, Stan (Linda), Sterling (Vanda), Dan (Rhonda), Dave (Dennese), Lynell "Elmer" (Bonese), Lynette (Deon) Mayhew, Lee Anne (Ron) Cox, LaRee (Robert) Davis, forty-one grandchildren, and sixty great-grandchildren; brother Don (Jean) Snarr and Thelma Nielsen. Preceded in death by wife Donna and his parents.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street (100 East). Funeral Services will be held Friday, July 15, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Riverside Second Ward Chapel, 464 West Germania Avenue (5150 South). A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the services.
Interment at the Murray City Cemetery.
