MEDFORD -- Jane H. Bauer, 81, of Medford, died Wednesday, July 12, 2006, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
She was born July 29, 1924, in St. Paul, Minn., to Fredrick and Della (Decker) Pettibone.
She married John W. "Jack" Bauer on June 14, 1951, in Janesville. He preceded her in death on Dec. 8, 1994.
She taught physical education in the Colby and Medford school districts. She was active in Bauer's Mink Ranch and J. Bauer Trucking, where she served as chairman of the board of directors until her death. She also ran a dance studio in Medford for many years.
Survivors include three sons, Jim (Barbara) Bauer, Owen, Jon (Chris Werner) Bauer, Medford, and Joe Bauer, Medford; three daughters, Joan Smolen, Medford, Jan (Rick) Farmer, Medford, and Julie (Jim) Brost, Medford; and 12 grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 15, 2006, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Medford. Burial of cremains will be at a later date in the parish cemetery.
