Alberto Acosta, 72, passed away Saturday, April 22, at Fort Bayard Medical Center. Mr. Acosta was a lifelong resident of Grant County. He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Octaviana Acosta of Hurley, a brother Agustine Acosta of Silver City and several nieces and nephews. Rosary recitation was Monday, April 24, in the Curtis-Bright Funeral Chapel. Funeral Mass was Tuesday, April25 at St. Francis Newman Center with Rev. Fr. Manuel Marumba conducting both services. Interment followed in Ft. Bayard State Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Sam Acosta, Rufus Acosta, Bill Acosta, Jesus Monje, Edwardo Flores and Eddie Triviso.
