Anna L. Butts Dies At Randolph County Hospital

Miss Anna L. Butts, 82, of six miles southeast of Winchester, passed away at the Randolph County hospital Sunday night at 11 o'clock. She had been in failing health for about a year and seriously ill for the last three months.

A native of Randolph county, Miss Butts was the daughter of Nathan and Louisa (Mary) Butts. She was a teacher by profession and was employed at the Marion County Children's Guardian home for sixteen years. She also was secretary of the Randolph County Sunday School association for several years.

Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. A. J. Davis of Winchester, Mrs. Elizabeth Cortner of Farmland, and Miss Viola Butts of Winchester, and several nieces and nephews.

The body will be removed from the Fraze and Diggs funeral home in Winchester to the late residence Tuesday afternoon where friends may call after 3 o'clock.

Private funeral services for relatives and close friends will be held at the late residence Wednesday at 2 p. m. with Rev. Richard Applegate in charge. Burial will be in the Fountain Park cemetery.
