Each year, the population of Dingerville grew. All were welcomed. Dingerville residents introduced other CWS attendees, and Omahans, to Cajun and Creole cooking, culture and music.
In 2000 the City of Omaha spent $350,000 to install electrical hookups and a water supply in Dingerville.
Glenarp Allmendinger died in 2003, and Dingerville was closed in 2007.
