Randall Jay York of Bend died Tuesday of natural causes. He was 44
A memorial service will be held at noon Saturday morning, July 30, at Deschutes Memorial Gardens Chapel in Bend.
Mr. York was born Sept. 6, 1959, in Portland to Ronald and Shirley (Stith) York. He attended Bothell High School in Bothell, Wash., and was student body president for the class of 1978. He later attended Central Washington State University.
Mr. York was a painting contractor in Beaverton.
He enjoyed skiing, sports, and cats. Mr. York was a resident ski instructor and director of ski school at Ski Acres in Snoqualmie Pass, wash.
Survivors include his parents of Bend; a brother, Rod York of Bend; and a sister, Robin Groom of Bend.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Memorial contributions may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research, Portland Chapter. Deschutes Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
