Albert M. "Bob" Corbitt, 70, of Elizabeth, passed away Nov. 18, 2001, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Vienna, son of the late Charles B. and Carrie Sims Corbitt. He was retired from Kaiser Aluminum Plant, previously employed by FMC Corporation.

He was a member of the National Rifle Association; the American Legion Post 55; Jr. O.U.A.M. 33 of Palestine; and was a U.S. Air Force veteran.

Surviving are his wife Francis Lynch Corbitt; three sons Cary Michael Corbitt of New Matamoras, Ohio, and Edward Wesley Shearer and Albert Martin Corbit, Jr. both of Elizabeth; six daughters Mary Ann Craft, Barbara E. Pursley, Tina Shearer and Mandy Summers, all of Elizabeth, Patty Sue Aicheke of Cleveland, Ohio and Shelia Robin Martin of Harrisburg, Va.; 32 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; on brother Charle Corbitt of Palestine, W.Va.; and two sisters Martha Allen of Ohio and Donna Lynch of Elizabeth.

He was preceded in death by one sister Geraldine Stone.

Sevices were 2 p.m. Wednesday at Matheny Pomeroy Funeral Home, Elizabeth. the Rev. Chuck Furbee and the Rev. Robert Stanley officiated. Burial was in Palestine Cemetery.
