Alma Twiddy Owens, 81, of the 900 block Shillelagh Road, died Friday, Feb. 5, 1993, in a Chesapeake hospital.
Mrs. Owens was a native of Washington County, N.C., and was the widow of Raymond Hallet Owens. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Temple.
Survivors include her daughter, Shirley J. Tluchak of Chesapeake; her sons, William L. Owens of Chesapeake and Bennie Owens of North Carolina; her sister, LaVeeda Byles of Norfolk; her brother, Marshall R. Twiddy of Greensboro, N.C.; 20 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
A funeral service will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Temple, 962 Shillelagh Road, Chesapeake by the Rev. Henry T. Johnson. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel, on Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m.
