Manchester- Rose D. Carrabis,78, of Grant Street, died Monday in Concord.
She was born in Dorchester,Mass.,daughter of John & Sadie (Bertuccio) Fortune.
She was an avid cook who enjoyed crafts & cooking Italian food.
She is survived by a son, Joseph Carrabis of Nashua; two daughters, Sandra Scullin of Stoneham,Mass.,& Bernadette Perry of Manchester; 7 grandchildren & 7 great grandchildren; a brother Bernard Fortune of Zephyhills,Fla. & a sister Connie Fortune of Zephyrhills, Fla.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
The Bennett Funeral Home of Concord is in charge of arrangments.

Rose Carrabis' Rememberance by Raymalene Billetdeaux
Born Rose Concetta Fortune on July 22, 1921 in Everett, Massachusetts. She was named after both her Grandmother's, the daughter of Santa Grace Bertuccio and Giovanni Fortuna and wife of Joseph James Carrabis. She made her home in Manchester, New Hampshire and Zephyrhills, Florida.
Rose enjoyed cooking for her family, and gardening with her husband, reading, Agatha Christie was a favorite, playing cards, listening to Opera, drawing, watching football and wrestling on television. She taught her grandchildren how to play penny ante poker ! She liked musicals and old movies and was a creative person, making the favors for her daughter Sandra's wedding shower. She loved Christmas and any reason to get all dressed up.
Rose was the oldest of three children, She passed 31 Jan 2000, followed by her brother Bernard's passing on 31 March 2003. She is survived by her sister Concetta J Fortune, her three children, Bernadette, Sandra and Joseph, 7 Grandchildren, Raymalene, Donald, Kenneth, Kristal, David, John and Jennifer and 8 Great Grandchildren, Santa, Sarah, David, Ashley, Moriah, Noah, Enoch and Nina and, 8 Great Great Grandchildren, ( none of which she got to meet), Emily, Joseph, Joshua, Alexander, Jason, Zephaniah, Kaylie and Mable.
