Exceptionally brilliant man. One of the first armature radio operators in the country. Unfortunately he was an alcoholic for most of his life. He worked in the Boston shipyards during WWII and family stories have his drunkenness being overlooked because he was one of the few who was able to install and trouble shoot nautical radar systems for the US Navy.
