AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. William Edward McDade Jr., age 83, of W. Kensington Drive died Saturday, February 22, 2003, at his residence. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Westview Cemetery with the Rev. Guy Campbell officiating. Mr. McDade was a native and lifelong resident of Richmond County. He was a retired Automotive Machinist with Tiger Car Parts Co. He was a U. S. Navy Veteran of WWII serving in the Fighting Seabees. He was a baptist. Survivors include one son, William Steve McDade, Martinez; three sisters, Mary Louise Castor, Wrens, Madeline Couch and Leila Richardson, both of Augusta; four brothers, Bob Bridges, Augusta, Vance Bridges, Grovetown, Dolphus Bridges, Martinez, and Frank Bridges, Augusta; five grandchildren, Stephen McDade, Christopher McDade, Sissy McDade, Susan McDade, and Kathleen McDade Stanford, 19 great grandchildren and a companion, Mr. Martha J. Maxwell, of Augusta, Mr. McDade was preceded in death by a son, David E. McDade. Pallbearers will be members of the family. Memorials may be made to the Shriners Childrens Hospital 950 W. Faris Street, Greenville, S.C. 29605. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home∼FATHER OF WILLIAM STEVE MCDADE AND DAVID EDWARD MCDADE.
