Funeral services for Jessie S. Ainsworth, 71, of Houston, will be held Saturday, Jan. 7, at 10:30 a.m. at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg with interment following at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Rev. Jon Salminem will officiate the services.
Mr. Ainsworth was born Oct. 8, 1923 in Magnolia, Ark. He died Jan. 5 at St. Luke's Hospital in Houston. Mr. Ainsworth served in the Army.
He is preceded in death by his father, John L. Ainsworth, and sister, Esther Brock.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Lucille Ainsworth of Houston; his mother, Audrey Ainsworth Allen of Magnolia, Ark.; his sons, Gary Wayne Ainsworth and wife, Mary, of Friendswood, Kenneth Doyle Ainsworth of Alvin, Douglas Ray Ainsworth and wife, Sharron, of Sugar Land, and Steven Anthony Ainsworth and wife, Lynda, of Baytown. Also surviving are his sisters, Fannie Mae Dees of Spring, Sudie Belle Hendricks of Waldo, Ark., Desi Lee Mayhall of Splendora, and Patsy Rogers of Sibley, La.; seven brothers, Charles Ainsworth of Magnolia, Ark., James Ainsworth of Rosenberg, Freddie Ainsworth of Spring, Tommie Ainsworth of Houston, and B.L. Ainsworth, Johnnie Ainsworth, and Donnie Ainsworth, all of Magnolia, Texas; 16 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Carl, Tommie, and Brandon Ainsworth, Jesse Delgado, and Delton and Dennis Peschel. Honorary pallbearers are Brian Ainsworth and Allen Macik.
