Maxine M. Ruppel, 90, formerly of North Manchester, IN died at 8:58 a.m. Saturday, July 9, 2011 in Miller's Merry Manor, Warsaw, IN. She was born May 17, 1921 in Whitley County, Indiana to Ernest & Hazel (Ditton) Penrod. On January 9, 1942 she married Charles R. Ruppel. He died July 1, 1991. Surviving are a son, Randall (Esther) Ruppel, Winona Lake, IN. A sister, Mrs. Eldred (Louise) Metzger, North Manchester, IN. Two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. Maxine was a homemaker, graduate of Sidney High School, a member of First Brethren Church and Ivy Chapter # 69, Order of Eastern Star, both at North Manchester. Services will be held Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, IN. Friends and family may call on Wednesday, July 13, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary. Pastor Kurt Stout will officiate and burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery, 600 Beckley Street, North Mancheter, IN.
