Nell Louise parsons, 77, a resident of The Dalles, died at her home on Friday, September 5, 2003.
She was born March 21, 1926, in Saint George, South Carolina and was raised in Hollyhill, South Carolina.
She married Marion Edward Parson March 31, 1945 in Jacksonville, Florida and they lived in Jacksonville until 1960 when they moved to The Dalles area. Nell worked for many years at Columbia Basin Care Facility.
She was a member of The Dalles Eagles Lodges, Senior Center and enjoyed playing bingo and crocheting.
Nell is survived by her daughters and their spouses, Peggy and Clay Jennings, The Dalles; Marian Alice and Daniel Marick, Odessa, TX; 4 grandchildren, Lynette, Mary, David and Thomas and 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion, on April 29, 1973, and two half sisters and a half brother.
Funeral services held at Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 9, 2003 at 9:00 a.m. with Rev. Jack Dunnaway officiating. Private cremation will follow at The Dalles Win-Quatt Crematory with burial of cremains at The Dalles Cherry Heights Odd Fellows Cemetery.
Remembrances may be made to Hospice of the Gorge, 751 Myrtyle Street, The Dalles, OR 97058.
