Lois Anderson Adams 93 years old, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother of North Little Rock, AR, died on June 22, 2011, at Hospice Home Care. She was born on October 08, 1917 the eldest of five children born to Lottie and William P. Anderson.
She is preceded in death by John Oliver Adams, two infant daughters, parents' Lottie and William Anderson, and two brothers' James and William Anderson.
Lois was known and loved by all that met her. She devoted her life to serving the needs of her family with warmth and love. Lois was fondly known as MeeMee by her grandchildren and she was their baby sitter, chauffeur to dance lessons, carpooler to school and soccer practice.
Lois is survived by her daughter Joyce Ranney Thompson of Little Rock and husband Leonard Thompson and five grandchildren Laurie Ranney Nipp of San Francisco, CA, Melissa Ranney Weisser of Mishawaka, IN, Stephanie Ranney Kiesler of Palatine, IL, Arthur D. Ranney, III of North Little Rock, AR, and Bruce A. Ranney of Chicago, IL.
MeeMee enjoyed life with nine great grandchildren Spencer and John Nipp, Madeline, Seth and Grayson Weisser, Rachael Ranney, Griffin and Gretchen Kiesler and Graham Ranney.
Lois and John were fortunate to help raise a nephew's son Steve M. Adams of Anchorage, AK, who also brought joy to their life.
Lois is survived by two sister's Helen Webster of Las Vegas, NV and Ruth Greeley of Atlanta, GA.
The family would like to thank the staff of Good Shepherd Nursing & Rehab. for their wonderful and loving care of our dearest MeeMee for the past seven years.
