--Highfill Rites will be Monday in City Chapel--
Mrs Elizabeth Adams Highfill, pioneer state oil operator, died early Saturday in St Anthony's Hospital after a week's illness. Services will be on Monday at 2 pm in Smith Kernke Chapel with burial at Rose Hill.

A leading oil woman in the early boom days of the state, Mrs Highfill crowned her 20 year success in the oil business by bringing in the famous Crescent Pool in Logan County. Throughout her career, she was identified with nearly every pool of importance in the Oklahoma and Texas districts. Mrs Highfill was also active in apartment building construction. She remained active in business here until eight years ago when her health forced her retirement. At the time of her death she was living at 217 NW 5.

She was a native of Johnson Co Texas and moved here in ----1907. She was a member of the downtown Baptist Church. Survivors include three daughters: Mrs W A Buchholz, 1010 NE 14; Mrs L S Coombs, 2130? N Villa, Mrs Donald D'Oyley, Houston TX, and four grandchildren.
