Mr. William H. Sidner, a member of the Soldiers' Home, passed away at that institution yesterday afternoon about 1:45 o'clock, death resulting from ailments incident to old age, having been 75 years old at the time of his demise. The deceased was born in Pike county, Missouri, on March 1, 1881 (sic), and had been a resident of the Home for many years, The remains were shipped to Omaha at 11:50 a.m., where interment will be made.

Soldiers Home Notes

William H. Sidner, late of Company F, Ninety-sixth Illinois infantry, passed away at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, February 15. His remains were taken to Omaha on the morning of the 16th for interment, accompanied by Matron Bradbury. He was admitted to Burkett from Douglas county on October 25, 1903. He was a very loyal member to all the officers of the Home, and during his membership did not have a single charge against him. He has a large number of friends at Burkett who extend their sympathy to all his relatives in Douglas county.
