Celebration of Life services for Dorothy Louise Cryer Stover, 68, were Monday, July 11, 2011, in the Hixson Chapel, Leesville. Interment followed in the Plunkaway Cemetery in Burr Ferry.

Dorothy was born July 1, 1943, in Leesville, to the Late Coy Cryer and Louise Violet Horger Cryer and was called to her eternal home July 7, 2011, at her residence in Leesville.

She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, and butterflies. Dorothy always enjoyed looking her best as she dolled up in her jewelry and indulged in painting her nails frequently. She loved her children and always found time to take exceptional care of her beloved husband John O. Stover. Dorothy will be remembered as the caring wife, loving mother, doting grandmother, joyful sibling and loyal friend to those who knew her.

Left to cherish the memories of Dorothy are her husband; her mother; two daughters, Beth Lavergne and Glenn Harvey, and Janice Buttram and husband Joseph; one sister, Margie Turll and husband George; three brothers, Wayne Cryer and wife Judy, Ray Cryer, and Author Gene Cryer; five grandchildren, Tyler B. and Joey Buttram, Susie Matthews, Stephanie and Chelsea Stephens; two great-grandchildren, Robert Stephens and Balian Matthews; along with numerous extended family members and many great friends.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her father; one son, Steve Stephens and one sister, Coy Sue Cryer.

Honoring Dorothy as pallbearers were Glenn Harvey, Wayne Cryer, Lee Tucker, Ronnie Bolton, Joey Buttram, John Moore and Joe Buttram.
