Civil War veteran... Grand Army of the Republic. 22nd Michigan Infantry, Company G. Enlisted, 20 March 1865, age 23 years, from Pontiac, Michigan. Transferred to the 29th Mich. infantry. Discharged from service, 9 September 1865.

1884~ Thomas T. Newton, son of Harris and Eliza (Perrin) Newton was born 1 Jan 1842, in Oakland County, Michigan. March 17, 1870. He married Miss Martha Graham, daughter of Benjamin and Mary (Postle) Graham. Mr. and Mrs. Newton's two children were: Maidie, born March 15, 1871 and Georgiana, born June 29, 1873.
1880 residence: Fulton Township, Gratiot County, MI.
