Frederick P. Cecil, 74, retired resident of 1500 W. 10th St., died Friday evening at Ball Hospital after a two-week illness. A native of Muncie, Mr. Cecil spent his entire life here, with the exception of the time he spent in the armed services. He served in the Philippines during the Spanish-American War and also participated in the Boxer Rebellion. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Ida Monks of Muncie, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Parson Mortuary at 2 p.m. Monday by the Rev. Robert Jones. Burial will be in the Spanish-American Veteran plot at Beech Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary after 2 p.m. Sunday.
